Who Ends Up in “the Second Death”?

This question, too, is answered directly in Revelation 20:14,15:

That is the second death: the lake of fire. And if anyone was not found written in the book of life, he was cast into the lake of fire.

The words “and if anyone was not…” suggest that there will also be people who are indeed enrolled in the book of life.

In Revelation 21:8 the group of people who are not enrolled in the book of life is described more closely:

But the fearful, the unbelieving, the abominable, the murderers, the fornicators, the sorcerers, the idolaters, and all liars—their part is in the lake burning with fire and sulfur: this is the second death.
