Does Eternal Life End?

Eonian life (commonly translated as Eternal Life) is the life of the coming eon or aion (Luke 18:30). That aion passes away and makes room for a following aion. After all, Scripture speaks of “the coming eons” (Eph. 2:7) or of “into the eons” (Luke 1:33).

The eons pass away, but life does not. On the contrary, at the end of the eons (in which Christ will reign), death will be abolished (1 Cor. 15:22–28). So after the eons (aions), it is not life that has passed away, but death!
