Are the Resurrected Dead Thrown Alive Into the Lake of Fire?

Of the beast and the false prophet it is said that they are thrown alive into the lake of fire (Rev. 19:20) and are also tormented there. They are spirits, not ordinary human beings (see the question: Is There, Then, No Torment in the Lake of Fire?)

Of the dead who stand before the great white throne, it is not said that they are thrown alive into that lake. Therefore it is not said that they will die a sudden fiery death, as, for example, the inhabitants of Sodom and Gomorrah once did. What is certain, however, is that they are cremated.
