16 Biblical Facts at a Glance

#1. God does not abandon the work of His hands. All is out of Him and through Him – and for Him. Psalm 138:8; Romans 11:36

#2. There is one GOD – that is, One Who orders all things. He wills that all mankind be saved. “What His love wills to accomplish, His power does not withhold.” 1 Timothy 2:4; Psalm 115:3; Job 42:2

#3. The whole world and all mankind belong to Christ Jesus. After all, He paid the ransom for all. Romans 10:12; 1 Timothy 2:6

#4. God always finds what was lost. If it were otherwise, God would be the Loser. Luke 15:4

#5. GOD locks up all mankind together in disobedience, precisely that He should be merciful to all. Romans 11:32

#6. According to Scripture, God’s wrath can be fierce, but never endless. Endless are His mercies! His anger lasts a moment; His lovingkindness, a lifetime. Lamentations 3:22; Psalm 30:5

#7. The word “eternity” in many Bible translations actually denotes an “eon” (Hebrew: olam – עוֹלָם; Greek: aion – αἰών). An eon is a world era with a beginning and an end. Hence eonian judgment has an “until.” 2 Timothy 1:9; Isaiah 32:14–15

#8. “Eternal” (eonian) life and “eternal” (eonian) punishment are, respectively, the life and punishment of the coming eon. Scripture also speaks of “the coming eons” and “the consummation of the eons.” Luke 18:30; Ephesians 2:7; Hebrews 9:26

#9. The so-called “hell” in Bible translations (Greek: Gehenna – γέεννα) is actually the Valley of Hinnom in Jerusalem. In the future Kingdom of Peace, the corpses of rebels will lie there. Isaiah 66:24; Matthew 5:22

#10. In 1 Corinthians 15, Paul looks beyond what John describes in the final chapters of Revelation. Christ reigns “for the eons of the eons.” But when death has been abolished, Christ’s reign will be consummated. After that, God will become “All in all.” Revelation 11:15; Revelation 22:1, 5; 1 Corinthians 15:22–28

#11. The “second death” is not the end. Death is abolished as the last enemy. All mankind will be made alive in the same manner in which Christ, as Firstfruit, was made alive. Death is swallowed up in victory! Revelation 20:14–15; 1 Corinthians 15:22–28, 54

#12. Just as through one man and one act all mankind became sinners, so through one Man and one act all mankind will also be justified. No one excluded. Romans 5:18

#13. God created all through the Son of His love. Through Him He will also reconcile all back to Himself—mutually. Colossians 1:16, 20

#14. One day every tongue will wholeheartedly confess (Greek: ex-omologeo) that Jesus is Lord. To the glory of God the Father. Philippians 2:10–11; cf. Romans 10:9 and 1 Corinthians 12:3

#15. The living God is the Savior of all mankind, especially of believers. This is the sharp point of the message proclaimed by Paul, the apostle of the nations. 1 Timothy 4:9–11; 2:6–7

#16. The realization that One died for all causes Christ’s love within us to impel us toward others. This grace trains us for a life in which He is glorified. 2 Corinthians 5:14–15; Titus 2:10–13
