Does the Fact That God Wills All People to Be Saved Mean That This Actually Happens?

GOD does all that pleases Him (Psalm 115:3). “What His love wills to accomplish, His power does not deny Him,” as the text of a well-known hymn rightly says. Hence 1 Timothy does not merely say that God wills all people to be saved (2:4), but also that God is a Savior of all people (4:10).

As far as the will of man is concerned: even the heart of the king is directed by God (Proverbs 21:1). God hardens and opens the hearts of whomever He wills (Romans 9:18; Acts 16:14).

God is GOD, and no one can withstand His purpose and plans (Romans 9:20; Job 42:2). His will shall ultimately be done.
