Newsflash: Israel Looks Ahead to 2030 and 2033
18-07-2026 - Posted by Geert-JanIsrael is preparing for a worldwide commemoration marking two thousand years since Jesus’ baptism in the Jordan. The commemoration is scheduled for 2030. In addition, 2033 – which traditional Christian dating regards as two thousand years after the resurrection of Christ – is receiving increasing attention. An international jubilee period from 2030 to 2033 is thus taking shape.
What is remarkable is that these two particular years coincide with two significant milestones in the Biblical chronology set forth on this site. The fact that the conventional interpretation of these years is not Biblically correct¹ does nothing to diminish this remarkable convergence. According to the Biblical chronology, the year 6000 AH begins on 1 Tishri 2033 (anno hominis, that is, since the creation of Adam), after which the seventh millennium begins.
This means that the preceding three and a half years, counting from the spring of 2030, form a particularly significant period prophetically. They would then coincide with the forty-two months, or 1,260 days, spoken of in prophecy. All the more significant, then, is the fact that the period being marked internationally as a jubilee period would, according to Biblical prophecy, actually be the time of Israel’s great tribulation, culminating in the establishment of the Messianic kingdom.
If this scenario is indeed correct, is it not remarkable that these two particular years are now receiving so much international attention?
¹ According to the Biblical chronology maintained on this site, Christ’s resurrection took place in 30 AD, making 2030 two thousand years later.
