Newsflash: Trump Working on New Regional Alliance Around Israel
06-09-2026 - Posted by Geert-JanThe Trump administration is working on an ambitious plan for a new regional order in the Middle East after the war with Iran. According to Axios, the plan is being developed at a high political level and across various U.S. government agencies. Trump himself is said to have told confidants about “something much bigger” that he wants to accomplish in the Middle East after the war.
At the center is the formation of a regional alliance, with Washington as guarantor and containing Iran as a shared security interest. Israel holds a key position in this: several elements of the plan revolve around Israel’s future relations with its neighboring countries. Work is underway on a security agreement between Israel and Syria, arrangements between Israel and Lebanon, and an expansion of the Abraham Accords. Normalization between Saudi Arabia and Israel, in particular, is considered an important objective.
The plan is still in the drafting stage, and the precise composition of the alliance is not yet known. Washington is also explicitly awaiting the Israeli elections on October 27, although Trump reportedly intends to push ahead with the initiative regardless of the election outcome.
In light of the prophecies of Daniel, among others, this is a remarkable development. There, too, in the end time, a regional alliance of ten kings around Israel appears. Whether this initiative is connected with that remains, of course, to be seen.
