Did Elijah Never Die?

There is an important indication that Elijah, just like Enoch, was transferred and returned again to earth. Just consider: Elijah’s being taken up into heaven took place when Jehoshaphat was reigning over Judah (2 Kings 3:11,12). When his son Jehoram later becomes king in his place (2 Chronicles 21:1), he receives a letter:

Then a writing came to him FROM ELIJAH THE PROPHET, saying: Thus says the LORD, the God of your father David: Because you have not walked in the ways of your father Jehoshaphat and …
2 Chronicles 21:12

Conclusion: Elijah was evidently moved to a place elsewhere on earth (about which we know nothing further) and from there wrote a letter years later to King Jehoram.

Jesus’ explicit statement that no one has ascended into heaven except ONLY the Son of Man therefore remains standing. And so does Paul’s: “death passed through into ALL mankind” (Romans 5:12). Also to Elijah.
