Evil Created by God

On the forum a number of anti-GoedBericht missionaries fanatically oppose the idea that God is the Creator of evil. This despite the clear statements about it in Scripture. A sampling:

6 That they may know, From the rising of the sun and from the west, That there is no one apart from Me; I am YHWH, and there is no other. 7 Former of light and CREATOR OF DARKNESS, Maker of good and CREATOR OF EVIL, I, YHWH, make ALL these things. — Isaiah 45:6,7

16 Behold, I Myself created the craftsman, Who blows into the fire of coals And brings forth an implement for his work; And I MYSELF CREATED THE RUINER TO HARM. – Isaiah 54:16

4 YHWH has made EVERYTHING for its own outcome, Yea, EVEN THE WICKED for the day of evil. – Proverbs 16:4

8 …FOR FROM THE BEGINNING IS THE ADVERSARY SINNING… – 1 John 3:8

When it comes to man’s sin it is said: “from the beginning it has not been so” (Matthew 19:8). But in the above text it is said EXPLICITLY of the devil that he has sinned from the beginning.

Every theology that refuses to believe that God is the Creator of evil is forced to make God into the greatest SINNER of all time. A BLUNDER who either did not know beforehand or did not take into account that evil would enter the world. A God who allowed His plan to be disrupted. A God who, in the end, will have to content Himself with the fact that many of “the works of His hands” will be permanently estranged from Him. And as if this were not bad enough: if things could go so terribly WRONG in the past, who gives us any guarantee that they could not go terribly WRONG again in the future???

The UltimateGoodNews site regards as its first priority “to glorify God as GOD.” As the GOD who disposes all things and in whose hands nothing fails. God knew what He was doing when He created “the ancient serpent.” For precisely by creating this destroyer, God provided the necessary dark background of sin and death, in order to let the light of His Love and Life shine forth!

Only when God has everything 100% under control can we be certain of the success of His ultimate purpose, namely, to become “all in all.”
