Babel, the End Time, and the Forum

At the moment, a fascinating discussion is taking place on the GoedBericht (UltimateGoodNews.com) forum about developments in the Middle East. (The forum is no longer online, 2026.) Be sure to read what Jan has to say; never too reluctant to back up his blunt assertions. Controversial or not. What do you think, for example, of the following statements?:

Incidentally, the Bible knows no such thing as international law. In the conquest of Canaan, God effectively commanded Israel to commit genocide. The justification for this was the great sin of the Canaanite peoples.

We are then moving toward a situation of apparent peace and justice. Milosevic convicted and in prison for the rest of his life. Saddam convicted and publicly executed in a sold-out stadium in Baghdad. Mladic and Karadsic extradited to the Yugoslavia Tribunal. Arafat dead and a new, charismatic leader among the Palestinians, with whom it seems very possible to talk and negotiate… Peace, peace, and no danger.
